  Manufacturing/Production Data

The production function is most closely associated with the manufacturing capacity of a company. Findlay Publications uniquely measures this capacity in terms of the number of metalcutting and metalforming machines in use. In particular, we record the extent to which CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) technology is employed.

Supported by Machinery, the UK's leading production engineering magazine and website

With an increasing proportion of component machining outsourced to smaller specialist engineering contractors, the old 80/20 rule has been turned on its head, with 65% of all machines now installed in sites with less than 100 employees.

Outsourcing has made it more difficult than ever to find buyers of equipment, products and services used in the production environment. Only Findlay Publications has the detailed knowledge of machine location and engineering/management personnel responsible for every step of the production process.
